BarneyC	posted 08-08-2009 06:08 PM ET (US)         Starting with the dealer I bought my boat from in 1986, I've always heard about [moving the battery to the console on a Boston Whaler MONTAUK 17], but I've never actually seen one with it done. The floor of my console is some kind of fiberboard and seems like it would not support the weight of a battery bouncing around on it. How [is the battery move to the console of a Boston Whaler MONTAUK] done? Thanks! Barney
jimh	posted 08-08-2009 09:30 PM ET (US)             Many owners of Boston Whaler MONTAUK boats who have moved the battery to the console from the stern have reported that they made a cut-out in the console floor to allow the battery to sit on the deck.
