I purchased a 1969 Menemsha about four years ago and put a 24-gallon Pate fuel tank in her. Now I understand that with Ethanol there is a risk for engine damage from breakdown of the plastic. I am looking for recommendations on replacement tanks. |

I believe the breakdown you're referring to occurs in fiberglass tanks - not plastic ones. |

Meeker- I was able to fit a 19-gallon Moeller fuel tank under the seat of my 1969 Menemsha. It is the square shaped permanent below deck tank. here is a link: http://www.moellermarine.com/aftermarket/fuel_storage_tanks/ permanent_tanks/ It is part #032519. Had to cut holes for the fuel fill and fuel line, but it is nice to have it out of the way, and plenty of fuel for long runs! Let me know if you need pics-k |
