Happy new year to everybody! I have to rig an old trailer for a 1977 13-footer. I need some advice on the roller set-up. The search button has given lot of useful info but not what precisely I was looking for. I'm almost sure I'll go for the Stoltz poly roller. I'd like to hear some suggestion on dimensions and number of rollers to be used. The trailer has three cross-members. Will three Stoltz RP55 five-inch safely support the boat? More? Bigger?

Thanks
Fabio

Take the boat and trailer with you when you look at the rollers. Ask the store manger if you can test fit some of the rollers to the bottom of your boat. And use the SS axles; they never get sticky

Deepwater, thanks for the axles advice! Unfortunately I haven't a chance to find Stoltz rollers in Italy. Being compelled to an internet purchase I was interested in some suggestion.

Use a wider roller for the stern roller or two. As the boat is loading on a the trailer, a wider roller at the stern will be easier to find with the keel.

My 1966 13-foot Whaler sits on a Venture trailer (a model no longer made) with welded-on roller brackets, so I had to replace the rollers with identically-sized ones. It now has two Stoltz keel rollers and one bow roller, which I think are 3" wide by 2 3/4" diameter and 2 3/4" wide by 3" diameter, respectively. I'm completely satisfied with the setup.

Thank you all! I think I have a clearer idea now
