Bensjoy	posted 03-28-2010 01:03 PM ET (US)             I service my Mercury 60HP 4/S in the fall after I haul my Whaler. I run the engine with "earmuffs" till warmed up and afer winterizing the powerhead, drain the gear oil and refill with Mercury Hi-Performance gear oil using a pump that fits on a 1 quart gear oil bottle. Check your old gear oil for signs of water.
