My tank is shot with water sitting on it, in it and it's 30 yrs old . . . are there any off the shelf replacement tanks that would fit well? any recommendations on how to remove the super console in the easiest, most logical way? going to replace it very shortly - THANKS

Do a search on the forum, lots of information on this subject. Florida Marine Tanks can fab an OEM aluminum tank for most 22's, but I seem to recall some of the early models having a plastic one. Be sure you know what you have, and if needed, contact Chuck Bennett at Boston Whaler customer service to be sure. |

Two years ago the replacement tank I ordered from Florida Marine Tanks and installed in my 1978 V-20 fit perfectly. Measure carefully, they have a few different models, and be diligent, their timelines are a bit flexible. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with the quality and would order from them again. Jay |

To remove the console just detach all your cables, steering and wiring, then unscrew the teak trim pieces from the aluminum brackets, then unscrew the aluminum brackets from the deck. Make good notes as to where everything goes. Be prepared to deal with rotted wood under the floor panels that cover the coffin and fish well(s). |
