I should like to replace the cushions of the Reversible Pilot Seat of my 1997 Outrage 17. The RPS has two cushions, the seat and backrest cushion.

I tried Specialty Marine, but they do not carry these cushions. On the website of Hall, I cannot find them either.

Any suggestions?

Thanks and greeting from the Netherlands.

Jeff, thanks for your suggestion. I talked to Sue and she can get the set of cushions. However they are quite expensive.

RPS "Seat" 233.28
RPS "Backrest" 199.95

Does anyone has more suggestions to get hold of replacement cushions at a better price?

You think that is expensive?! How much do you expect them to cost?

Sue is the best and pricing is always fair. Good stuff for Whalers is spendy. No way around it - that's why quality doesn't cost, it pays....

You can always get them recovered locally too.

Check around for local upholstery shops. Work is slow and you may find a good deal.

You might want to give this guy a call. I don't know if he is still working as he had some health problems at the time he did the work for me.

The receipt is for "recovering" both the back & seat cushion on the RPS plus the 2 rear quarter seats. Included in the price was restitching all of the seams on the cover for my center console and replacing the velcro. Note that the wood from the seats was in good condition and was reused.
