Had to remove the white rubber caps on my RPS rodholders (84 Montauk). They were peeling off and looked horrible against my newly varnished teak. Can the rubber be replaced or do I order a new set of holders from BW or an aftermarket company if available?

Salty- do a search. This has been discussed before.

yeah tried that...found an 8 year old thread. All those sources and leads got me nowhere. Boater's World site didn't have much and Perko has black rubber ones that I'm sure after the sun gets hold of them they will go on their way placing black rings on anything that comes in contact with them.

Boaters world used to sell replacement rod holder covers in white. I believe the brand was "whitecap". I varnished my RPS seat 4-5 years ago on my '89 montauk and that brand went right on with a tiny bit of stretching and looked like the originals. They have not torn in at least 4 years of use. I did have to trim about a quarter inch off the bottoms. I could not find a picture but I think this link is the same (since boaters world no longer has stores).

I am not sure the link in my previous post was the right product. This link has measurements for the inner diameter to make sure it would fit.

Call Wolf's Marine in Benton Harbor, MI. They have a box of chrome rod holders that are the exact diameter and length as the original Whaler ones. The lip is just a little different and it is also white. They are not identified by boat brand or manufacturer. They are about $6 apiece.
