My fire extinguisher mount just rotted out and I'm interested in replacing what little teak I have on console with Star Board. Internet search only returns manufacturers that will send sheets that need to cut & made to shape. Is there anywhere I can find these hatch doors, mounts, etc. pre-cut to fit a whaler console?

Further.. My deck screws have all rusted & stained my gelcoat. Should I just try to clean them, or does it make more sense to replace them with new screws? Deck seems to be in good shape with no soft spots, and nothing wrong other than staining.

Any info would be appreciated. My motor just gave out & I suddenly have time & a good opportunity to give this boat some much needed repair work.

One more thing.. I bought this boat (very) used and I've notice the ground wire from fuel tank is missing. This is the wire that eventually runs trough the transom and into a brass fitting below the water line that is also missing.. Sorry if this is a silly question but how important is for all of this this to be replaced?

Try Nautical Lumber for replacement wood.

For rusty screws, best to just replace them. Use Barkeeper's Friend to scrub the rust off the deck.

I think the ground wire is to prevent static sparks when you're fueling. It's up to you whether to replace it - how do you feel about gas tank explosions? Just kidding - replace it right away, before you fuel up next.
