[The author says he wants to buy a combined sidelight navgation lamp for a 1986 Boston Whaler SUPER SPORT]. [Are the lamps sold by] Specialty Marine of decent quality? [Is there] another source [of a combined sidelights navigation lamp of the Boston Whaler style]? Thanks

[I] haven't bought [navigation lamps] from Specialty but have bought a few other items [from them]. [I] have been quite satisfied with the quality of the products I've gotten from them. I probably will buy [navgation lamps] from them in the future. |

I bought [a combined sidelights navigation lamp] four years ago off eBay for my Revenge. Quite satisfied with fit and finish but the two bolts that hold it on were junk and rusted. The lens might fade prematurely compared to OEM. That might have been corrected; mine might have been a mistake--who knows? To be safe I would buy stainless steel bolts and use them, and a [buy a] spare lens. The OEM bolts or screws were too short, I beleive. For $149 you CAN'T go wrong and I would pick one up for my 13-footer if I wasn't a bit strapped lately. |
