Has anyone drilled a hole from their fuel tank cavity to the bilge area on a classic 21' banana? What did you encounter? Any problems I should be aware of? Etc.I tried the search. Problem of course is that any word in your question triggers a response, most of which are unrelated to what you are looking for.

I'm not sure of the similarities, but in my 1984 22' Outrage, I drilled a hole from the fuel cavity into the live well - put a brass through tube with grommets, just like the other through hulls. Nothing between there except foam. |

My 81 outrage came with a hole already installed between the fuel tank and the bilge. I dont know if it was stock or a previous owner did it, but it is lined with brass. I installed a rubber drain plug in it from the bilge side since I no longer have foam in the fuel tank compartment and did not want salt water getting in there. In the summer when it is on the trailer and sunny, I remove the deck plate over the fuel gauge to allow moisture to come out. |

I did that in my 19 Banana. Used a doorknob drill bit, and ran some wiring, fuel line, and a bilge pump line through it.
