Anyone know a good Yamaha outboard repair man in the Sandy Hook area?

I'm having difficulty finding one fairly priced to service and maintain my 70hp...Would love to hear of any good expereicnes anyone may have had?

Try Steve at S&S Marine. I haven't been to them in years but my marina (who are more versed in Mercury)would consult them when they had problems diagnosing my Yamaha. They used to be in Rumson.

thank you for this. I've been aware of S&S and was wondering if anyone has experience with them...

I second S&S, who are now located in Highlands after several years in Fair Haven. Gateway does good work, but is pricey. Bob

I'll give S&S a try the next time I need help. I agree about the other they are highly qualified, but best not used routinely. Besides the high cost and mysterious charges the wait time even for regular cusotmers can be very long in season.

Thanks for the replies... even if I was not the one asking. I'm in Union Beach when not crusing on my Trawler, and have been looking for a Yamaha place here also.

Looks like we have a few other CW members here on the bayshore? Roll call?

Go with Steve@ S & S marine. He has worked on both my Yamaha outboard and Merc. Very reasonable. His # is 732-291-7001
