[Can] the fuel lines coming out of the floor [of a 20-foot boat under restoration] just be unattached [from the] fuel-water separator, then the engine, [and] the other to gas cap, and then pry up the floor around the metal piece going through the floor? I know this sounds amateur, but any advice is great. My boat is just like [unclear reference]. I plan to do [some restoration], maybe just not perfectly, since I'm a broke college student. Everything is off the boat, except the engine, wires, cables, and fuel lines.

Also, by peaking under the floor board--remember it [is] not off yet--it appears like the previous owner has already removed the foam encapsulating the fuel tank. It looks pretty damp down there but the fuel tank seems to be in descent shape, he could have replaced it a few years back.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the metal piece going through the floor." If everything is off the boat, you should be able to remove the deck screws and lift the deck without needing to remove any of the fuel lines or filler hoses. The center deck just lifts right off. Bring a friend when you do this (or two) as you'll find it heavy and very unwieldy. A photo posted to photobucket.com or similar free sharing sight would be helpful.

If you want to refer to any resources or pictures hosted on CONTINUOUSWAVE, just give the URL for them. In that way we can know what you are making reference to.

Perhaps when you mention "floor board" you are referring to the removable portion of the deck that covers the central fuel tank cavity in many Boston Whaler boats. When referring to your boat, it is best to mention the model and year so readers will be able to identify more clearly what model you are inquiring about.
