I'm in search of an inexpensive dust cover for my 1994 Outrage II. I keep it in the garage and don't want to spend lots of money for a great cover. The cheapest cover that I have found is about $400.00 which to too much to spend for my use. The taller console (compared to the Classic Outrage 18) is the troublemaker. Most standard covers for center console boats will fit up to a 30" console height above the gunwale. The Outrage II height is 46" above. Any suggestions other than a tarp? |

Since it is in the garage, you could sew a couple of bed sheets together and throw them over. I've used that on my cars. |

Thanks for the reply Terry. I may have to go that way. I was hoping to find a basic cover that would generally do the job. There must not be many boats out there in this size range that have a console this tall. Congrats on the leaning post find. Chris |

What about a Tyvek Camper Trailer cover? http://www.rvcoversdirect.com/products/adco/contour_fit_covers/ 8_hilo_style/41/2_sfs_aquashed/ They are about $200 |

You could use a large painter's tarp. They are heavy cotton and can be found at commercial paint supply stores like Benjamin Moore. |

So just buy a cover for a larger boat. The extra fabric will accommodate your taller console. A cheap generic Center Console Boat Cover for a 20-22 footer can be had for about $100. |
