I'm getting ready to get a new front window built for my 18.5' Outrage, the old acrylic is starting to shatter. I've gotten several quotes and want to increase the window height to about 28" (out of acrylic) to keep the water spray down (I will also be rebuilding the stainless frame around it). I have a leaning post and my view will still be unobstructed, I just want something to duck under.

My main question is that all of the windows are usually tinted green/blueish or gray tint. I really wanted to go clear so I could see through it better. Besides looks, is there a reason why I should go tinted windows?

IMO clear is the way to go. If u want tint, put on sun glasses. Tint looks good but is dangerous when u duck behind it in low light conditions.

HI Oakpwr,

I want to do the same to mine. Any advice on whom to have build the windsheild?
Also, are you going to change the frame around the windsheild, i am thinking i may just leave mine as is and run the windsheild higher?

Thanks.
