posted 05-27-2012 07:21 PM ET (US)         A few months back, I bought a c.1987 Honda 8-HP outboard engine and was unable to test it. I had to wait until today before I had the opportunity to test [the Honda 8-HP outboard engine]. The exhaust pipe from the cylinder head to the lower unit is bad. I can't or haven't seen the actual leak, but with the cowl on it won't run at all. I filled-up the exhaust lower cowling cavity with water while running and the bubbles were really evident that the leak is pretty large. I haven't learned my area well enough to know where parts might be available locally, and, since I am a mechanic and tooled up, I will attempt to fix it myself. I need to find the parts and repair manual information to replace it. Any information about Tacoma, Washington Honda parts sources would be appreciated and any special information about my motor might save me some [confusion]. Laughing at myself is a common occurrence, so it is all in good fun.
