My drivers seat on the Montuck is way over due to be replaced. I though about buying a new one instead of fooling around with getting it reapholstered. Any thoughts on this cost wise or other? Thansk joe |

It is always best to simply buy a new RPS seat rather than having a local shop re-upholstery it, especially if you want to keep it original in appearance. With the demise of Halls, the new best place to get an original tan pleat RPS seat cushion, or Igloo cooler cushion, is Anderson's Marine Upholstery, in Mims, Florida. I think the price is about $250., and they are one of Whaler's original suppliers. |

Yes i was leaning to a new seat, as i was not totally happy with the work we had done on a fork lift seat for my job. I have looked at speciality marine, have not checked Anderson Marine yet. LHG, you gave me some good advice with the stuck steering cable tilt tube replacement on my old Merc, so i respect your opinion! |

Any one had any experience with specialty marine? Looks like they have a pretty good seat and other Whaler stuff. |

I believe you are seeking advice on a replacement cushion for the Reversible Pilot Seat of your Boston Whaler MONTAUK. If that is correct, see the recommended vendors at http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/OEM.html#upholstery |

I recently saw a Specialty Marine center console at a marine repair business. They spoke very highly of the console and it looked great all prep'd for finish. |
