Hi All,

I have a third tank that I am taking out for extended cruising this weekend on my 17' Montauk and want to make sure it is well secured and not moving.

I do not want to add a DIY project to my pre-cruise list, but am asking for suggestions to keep it secure onboard.

My intial thought was to use a long bungee (or ratchet strap) and secure behind the RPS, abutting the other two 6 GAL tanks.

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Phil

A 6 gallon portable tank that is full is pretty heavy. Place it in the rear of the boat and leave it. It's not going anywhere.

Set it on a piece of that rubberized foam non-skid mesh from Walmart. With the weight, it will stay put, not damage the boat, and then use the fuel in it last.
