[This article begins with the author saying that he] recently bought a 1998 RAGE 15 with a 175 Mercury jet, only to find that one of the cylinders has no compression. [A]pparently this engine has already been rebuilt once. Tell me where to get a [purchase] a short block.

If you can not find a short block, take you engine to a machine shop and speed shop and see if you can get your blocked sleeved.
