pecos23	posted 09-26-2012 11:27 PM ET (US)         Hello all. Does anyone have a procedure for linking and syncing a pair of 2004 OptiMax 150-HP engines? My throttles are sloppy and in dire need of some attention. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
jimh	posted 09-27-2012 07:45 AM ET (US)             Are you asking about aligning and adjusting the throttle plates of your engine to operate in synchronism? Such a procedure should be covered in the service manual. It is always a good idea to invest in a service manual if you plan to service your engine yourself.
Mambo Minnow	posted 09-27-2012 01:30 PM ET (US)             Have you considered upgrading to Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS)? Electronic controls for twins is a must these days for the advantages of auto synchronization. The cost-benefit ratio is less for single engines IMHO.

Mambo Minnow	posted 10-03-2012 11:13 PM ET (US)             Mercury offers DTS on certain Optimax models. It may only be available on the 3.0L V-6 models, but check with your Mercury dealership.
