Hi, my name is Roberto, from Italy.

I have just bought a 2011 BW 255 Conquest with the fishing package, including hard top and winter canvas. The issue that I’m having relates to a water leakage in the cockpit, apparently coming from the rubber seal under the windshield frame. As a result, the cockpit during the winter is always wet and dirty. The point is that the rubber seal looks in perfect conditions. This happen even with a light rain, also with all the winter canvas on.

An additional (maybe related?) problem refers to a large water leakage into the ceiling of the cabin, on the starboard side, so that the water fills the ceiling, constantly wetting the starboard couch.

I have tried to tighten all the visible screws as those of the hardtop mount or those of the windscreen wiper but they look perfect. Any ideas?

I would get a bucket and add food coloring, and pour in ONE spot, wait a half day to see what happens. Repeat as needed.

(Also roll the vessel when you do this, as sometimes water will start on the Stbd/Port seam (leak), and travel athwart ship and drain on the Port/Stbd side.)

I had the same issue on my prior 235 Conquest, give this a try:

Remove the black rubber weather strip within the windshield frame. Put silicone on each of the screws (holes) even if it appears that they are watertight. Then replace the black rubber strip.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Buoy, do you mean the rubber strip on the outside of the windshield between the glass and the frame or the one under the frame?
