The round hour meter in my dash has disintegrated from the salt, apparently 14 years of salt use is more than Honda designed it for (it stopped working at only 100 hours so I installed a sealed hour meter on the motor itself years ago). So now I have a round hole in my dash to fill with a new gauge and I'm looking for suggestions. I don't "need" any additional instrumentation, I've got the basics covered, but I do need to fill the hole with something. I'm thinking a digital volt meter, can anyone suggest a specific model? Or even a different type of gauge that you find handy?

Perhaps a cooling water pressure gauge would be useful and look good.

I had the same problem a few years ago. I put a Ritchie dash mount compass in to fill the space.
