Thought some might be interested.

A really well done chart with the specs for the most common marine sealants, from BoatUS

Sweet thanks! We recently had some work done on our house and the guy used Sikaflex around the windows and doors. I noticed it felt significantly more sturdy than anything I have ever found at home depot, but I had no idea it was the same basic chemical that is in 3m 4200/5200! That explains it!

The use of marine sealants for non-marine projects makes a lot of sense, although obviously at some cost. The sealants in big-box and hardware stores now come in a dizzying array of witches brews of some of this, some of that, and some stuff I've never heard of. It's very hard to come up with a table like this for products that are combinations of all of them in an attempt to eliminate the disadvantage of a particular type. "The only sealant you'll ever need". Right.
