What's the best way to put a name on the hull of a Montauk? Stick on letters, stencils, hire an artist? Current choice for our new (old) Whaler is "Moby" (rhymes with Toby, my wife).

Most everyone uses stickers. Do sign painters still have the natural artistic abilities to actually hand paint signs? They are available at reasonable costs online.
BTW, whats wrong with the name TOBY? Who is Moby? Sounds kind of dumb to me. Just my opinion.

Moby, as in Moby Dick! The great white whale that bit off Capt' Ahab's leg. Actually, I always thought it was kind of dumb to use your wife's name on a boat. But dumb is OK too.
