I'd sure love to hear what other sport/super-sport15' ppl use to climb back in their boats with. I'm using a rope/polycarbonate ladder now, but would like to try another option too. I can't mount one on the transom; there's no room, and according to BW, there's no wood aft to anchor it to. I'm left with the over the side type.

P.S. JimH, what's on your sport? |

In all honesty, the gunwales on my Sport 15 are so low that we just climb over the side. The boat came with a "hook-type" over-the-side ladder, but we find it easier to board without the ladder. YMMV, of course. Good luck! Eric Gainesville, FL |

You might want to check the thread in Classic Whaler: Modifications of 7/10 started by "slriver" titled "Swim platfoem/ladder-Montauk" for some similar discussions... As far as our family and our 15'SS, we gave up on ladders and hump it over the stern quarter... |

Take a look a armstrong nautical's web site www.armstrongnautical.com They have a line of ladders that would be perfect for a whaler, they have a small mounting bracket and look very easy to climb and they float. |

Thnx for the site, Alioop, they are similar to ones available at W. Marine, boatus, etc. I've decided to cease my quest for the perfect ladder until I see or hear from a SS owner that is totally satisfied, which is beginning to seem non-existant.... (Too bad you live so far away, BD, I'd like to try out your collection!) |
