compounder	posted 08-04-2000 08:12 PM ET (US)         I am considering re-powering my Montauk with a new Yamaha 100 hp 4-stroke. I know that weight may be a problem, but I do not know the weight of my present Evinrude 115, a 1981 model. Anyone know the weight of the 115 or where I can find it? Thanks.

Clark Roberts	posted 08-06-2000 08:23 AM ET (US)             Compounder, you may want to consider a 90hp Merc four stroker.. to my knowledge the 80/100 Yamahas and the 70/90hp Mercs are identical (all Merc and Yam 4 strokers are joint venture) except for cowlings and paint! You may get a better price, warranty and corrosion resistance with the Merc! Happy Whalin'... Clark
