Hey any of you performance guru's or freaks have any experience with these units?

Lot's of talk about set backs well these set you back pretty far and also jack you up or down -- they even make units for dual motor installations ---

If you don't know what I'm talking about skip over and see for yourself

Thanks for any or all comments, Tom

Tom,
The Transom Wedge - #TW may be just the solution to the planing problem I have with the 20' outrage at low speed and maybe the porpoising problem too... ...I think I will look into this.
Mike
ps. Merry Christmas, oh, and I may be trading the 20'er up to a 25'er soon if things come together, still in the thought stage (she's a fun little boat though).

Hey Mike --- hope you all had a nice Christmas, we did in fact, very nice and laid back.

Yep those wedges after LHG pin pointed those older OMC "tuck" problems should make a difference.

A 25 --- sounds great but I thought the 20 was just to supplement your Dad's big boat (forgot what size he has)--- Have you decided the 20 is a tad to small for your offshore fishing along the coast?

Regards,

Tom

Tom,
I plan on calling the machine shop to get a price on the wedges. I will let you know what they say. Yeah, you guessed it, I think the 25'er will extend our season a little more and also let us get a bit further offshore more often. If it is okay, I may send you an e-mail in a few days regarding pricing. I hope you have a great New Year! Mike

Mike, a healthy and happy new year to you and your family --

Please let us know on the wedges since there was a number of folks suffering similar problems with older OMC's

No problem send me an email we can discuss pricing -- I know you did a lot of work on her, please list everything and the approx.. cost of the improvements --- if you have a current photo send it along also.

We are sort of getting out of the Performance topic here, best discuss the 20 via email I think.

Tom
