I posted this in general discussion by mistake maybe this is the correct forum for this Question.
Have a 1979 15' 3" boston whaler sport w/ 1979 johnson 70 hp prop is a 13x19 omc s/s engine turns 5300-5400 rpm at wot with a medium load in the boat have engine set on a high jacker jack plate with 5 1/2 inch setback and raised as high as i can go before prop blows out and still have 20+ psi water pressure. I get about 43 mph top end and a good hole shot. question is wouldthe stilleto 13.25 x19 s/s performance prop give me any performance gains over to omc s/s prop, and what would they be thanks for all responses.

For all the goodies you have on the 15 your only geting 43mph. Perhaps its the medium load you mentioned. Anyway why dount you try a bow lifter or a speed prop. The stilleto might work but check out www.a1discountprops.com...powertech has props for bow lifting, load pushing, speed props, all purpose props and so on. Your very own OMC has some nice quality props also.-Erik

What is the gear reduction ratio on that engine? If that were known we could see what your theoretical top speed would be and how much slip you are getting from the prop set up.

Check your other post scattcat. I gave you some tips and do not feel like copying them again.
