Hi !,
Just got a 16 foot Whaler, have been out just twice, no real prior experience with a motor boat. It came with a 90HP outboard. We ran it with the engine all the way down. At 3000 RPM (3 in the boat) the nose was up what seemed like alot... we were cruising ok...but is this normal? additionally, when we Increase the RPM to 3500-3700 we started to move more rapidly, but then RPM's started elevating seemingly on their own, past 4000 towar dsd 4500. I assume the engine needs to be adjusted? has anyone had experience with this? Also, at what point and to what effect does changing the tilt effect the ride ? We were not really able to notice much difference..
Appreciate any advice.
Thanks,

Just play with it, shift your balast (passengers) around front to back-back to front, use the TnT, Play with the throttle you'll find your happpy median :-)
