I am looking to buy a used 25' Outrage. What sort of performance will I see with a single vs twin? What is a good offshore total HP. (lots of swells here in SF [no water skiing])

If a single, will it plane on a single 200 or 225? Better yet keep a plane in medium swell? (light load, fuel & two or three pass.)

I had a look at the current Outrage web page and it looks like Whalers get heaver with each model year, a new Outrage 260 (with the shower) needs quite a bit of power.

Any comments would be appreciated, thanks in advance...

Sorry I have not responded, but I've not yet got mine in the water. Lhg is the guy you want to talk to. He knows these boats VERY well, espically the 25.

Good luck, Larry

Please see much prior discussion on the performance of the 25' hull.
