I have a 84 Montauk (with old bottom paint)and powered with a 1994 88hp Evin. with a SS prop. At full throttle and trimmed properly, she runs 5000 - 5100 rpms. I have heard that she should run higher. Any thoughts?

What does the engine manufacturer's owner's manual say is the RPM range for that engine?

I think it is 5500 for that engine. Drop a pitch in prop. heck tach first. You should be running a 17" prop. If you have a 19, now you know why.
