Anybody put a T- top on a Montauk, is it a good idea if so any pics.

Tee tops must be popular somewhere, but not up north.

Most of my boating is done north of the 45th parallel. That means that, except for a couple of weeks around June 21st, the sun never gets higher in the sky than about 60-degrees, and it obtains that altitude only for a few hours around noon. The rest of the time ol' Sol is lower in the sky than most Tee Tops shade me from.

There are some earlier threads on this topic, but the prevailing theory is that the Montauk is too light a boat to safely operate with a T top.

Andygere I see you are stoked on sailing however carrying 12/ft. of horizontal canvas,would not cause this old sailor to stay on the beach
