what will be the right prop for a guardian 19ft with a 150 evinrude fight in combination with a hydraulic jacking CMC pl-65. did swing a 17"SST too much reps.(46mls.) consider a 20"Raker.

Not enough info to answer your question... but, figure this: One inch of pitch will net about 200 rpm (revolutions per minute) either up or down! Happy Whalin'... Clark...Spruce Creek Navy

The 150 Johnson on my 18 Outrage turned a 21" Raker. The 19 Guardian is heavier so a 19" Raker or equivalent might be right for the Guardian.

It's what the passengers do to get off the boat when the engine starts to burn.

ronald - your comments on reliability and
performance of the Johnson 150 Ficht ? I'm
looking at a used boat with this engine ('99)

Babysitter - I've read lots of bad comments on the 150 Ficht - I'm sure there's some good comments out there, too, but I haven't seen them in any definitive pattern. I'd stick with tried and proven technology until they get the bugs worked out - My 150 is the "OceanRunner" 150 Johnson series - it's "carbureted" - I chose this type for reasons stated above. Mav

Mav - You've probably looked at alot more posts than I have since you did your research
awhile back ... Thanks for the input.

altough there is quite a lot of problems with the Ficht engines. it is by far the best engine I ever used. I use it now after the modification for the fifth month without problems.
it is agressive, fast, economical on fuel (really!)and very smooth (no mis-hits at all)

it beats every comparable engine!!
