Has anyone heard about the Merc Optimax reliablity for 2002. Supposedly all the fixes were made to cure the nightmares of 2001. It was no secret that Mercury halted production on the Opti's last summer in an attempt to fix the problems. The BW dealer tells me the truth will not be known until after this season....scary.

See my post near the end of the "Optimax Malaise" thread in Post classics.

I have heard the 2002's are excellent, and with no problems.
