I am looking for a small light weight jack plate with setback or an engine bracket such as the one seen on cetacea page 28 '13 alert dive boat'.

Can a setback reduce or increase porposing?

Does a setback defeat the purpose of trim tabs?

What does a boat tend to do if the setback is too far?

Anyone know what a rig like this weighs?

Thanks for any info.

Speedy, being acquainted with your setup, I'd try to track down a VERTICAL ONLY jacking apperatus (they do exist). I may be able to find you one in a catalog up here to give you a part# and brand name to order.
