simonmeridew	posted 04-03-2002 07:25 PM ET (US)         My 1999 Johnson 70 has VRO which I'm happy with. I've had the Montauk in my barn since September but we go to the Outer Banks in 2 weeks and I want the boat to be ready. I haven't done anything to the oil system except add oil last summer when it needed it. When I put it away, I didn't unplug anything on the motor, like the gas line or oil line. My question is do I need to pump the oil bulb which is a foot or so downstream from the oil reservoir, or can I assume there's no air bubbles in the system and just use it. There's maybe 10 feet of oil line from the console to the motor. simonmeridew
