We have an Evinrude 25. It runs great when we first take off. Getting to where we want is no problem. However, on our way back the motor hesitates & skips out in power. We've taken it to a boat shop/repair business but they couldn't anything wrong.

Something is getting hot and breaking down like a coil. A power pack would kill it dead. a bad coil(you have 2) would make 1 cylinder cut out, etc. It might be gas related but my $$ is on a coil.
