Have a chance to get a mid 80's 70 evinrude real cheap. Have a 1988 88hp spl Johnson with Bad #3 cylinder. Are any of these parts useable on the two motors.

Actually John the power trim is interchangable, and maybe the prop, but that is about it unless your short on spark plugs. I have a rebuilt powerhead for a 1988 88spl. Reasonable and guaranteed. Steve

Prop, plugs,etc are interchangeable. the lower unit I believe is also. Coils maybe as well as some other individual items such as fuel/vro pump etc.

Will the power tilt unit from that 88 fit a 1975 Johnson 70? I suspect Steve knows the answer to this question. If so, I know someone who would be interested in buying the PT&T from that 88.
