I am preparing to truck a 22' Outrage for a long highway journey (in very cold climates) via truck. What position should the engine be in during transit and should the engine be shrink wrapped separately from the hull?

The boat transporters I have delt with want the engine tilted up. Make sure the engine is well drained and shrink wrap over the prop so no water can get in. It depends on the person who does the shrink wrap wheather they do a one piece including the motor or do the motor seperate. Either system works.

Why would you have to worry about getting water in the prop?

Water entering the exhaust through the prop outlet can freeze and destroy a lower unit.
