What kind of warranty do props have? Do I get a new one if I break off a blade? Does it cover my gearcase in case the blade does not break but my gears do?

I have a SS powertech that I bought a couple years ago. I've only put about 1 hour on it (too much pitch, my fault) and it's still sitting on a shelf in my garage. It arrived polished very nicely and appears to be overall well built for the price. Things that got my attention: after the first use in salt, part of the hub (next to where the thrust washer meets the prop) started getting some rust. Is this part not SS? Also I thought that the blade edges could have been sharper. Otherwise no complaints, fit my motor perfectly and looks very nice.

What pitch and for what engine? Sell it here or on e-bay or have it repitched for about $40.

It's 11.25" dia 13" pitch, the hub is for a 1999 Honda 50HP. I've decided to stay with the stock aluminum prop but selling it here is a great idea, I may give that a shot. :)

You might want to send that Powertech prop back and get it repitched, Powertech does it for a nominal fee. I took the plunge and purchased an Accelerator series ss prop from JT yesterday, he has the best prices on the internet. I can't wait to try it!
