Ok, had an alum. 11 3/4 x 17 running on a 2cyl. '93 'rude. WOT was at top end of recommended RPM of 5500 and did 30kts with just me and 6 gal gas, but dropped to 5200/28kts RPM WOT with 3 big pax and 12 gal. Got a new 11 3/4 x 16 Silleto Stainless Steel, one inch pitch lower than alum. to try and get the RPM back when loaded.

Results with me, wife (120 lbs)and 9 gal fuel WOT 5800 RPM - 300RPM above recommended. Was going to get the 11 3/4 x 15 as recomended by Mich Wheel, but not by folks on this board, glad I didn't now. Hope that I'll drop down to the 5500 RPM when running 3 big pax? Almost think I should have stayed with the 11 3/4 x 17 in the stainless since Im running over recommened RPM a couple hundred at WOT now when light. Comments????

Personally I think you are propped just right considering that you will loose some rpm on hot summer days. Just keep an eye on those rpm and don't run sustained at over 5500. However, a stainless 17" (same style as the 16") will pull you down a couple of hundred rpm to maybe 5600 max (cool weather)... Happy Whalin'... Clark... Spuce Creek Navy
