My new boat, 290 Outrage, is being prepped with the new 4 stroke ercs. Has heard or experienced them or their Yamaha counter part?

Heard twin 225 Yamaha's on a Grady-White 34 last weekend. Whisper quiet! Motors had 650 hours. Only maintence was oil changes at 10, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 hours. We are having a Yamaha 225 four stroke installed on our 20 outrage this month. Sounds like you are making an excellent choice.

Drink some coffee and you'll wakeup to the fact that they are YAMAHA's!

Yes, I am purchasing the boat from OBMS. They repowered my 19' Revenge a few years ago and I have been happy with there service. They have also put up with me asking questions on the new boats for the last 3 years while I tried to figure out what to get.

Glad to hear good things about the 4 stroke motors.

Wow--I find it hard to believe that someone could get 650 hours on a pair of these 4-stroke 225-HP outboards. Didn't they just come out this season?

That is one dedicated boater. That is over 80 days at 8 hours a day. That is more like five years of boating for me!

The set up sounds great. I can't wait to see it on the bay and offshore!
The OMS is excellent.
What are you doing with the 19' Revenge?

We have had the Revenge so long it would be like getting rid of a family member. We duck hunt on an island that is only accessable by water during the season and will use the boat to go back and forth.
