Does anyone have experience with Lenco tab and troll on a 18 Ventura? I have problems with porpoising and can get Lenco tabs but I was wondering if I could get trolling ability at the same time. I have a boarding ladder on the port side that I think will interfere with the trolling motor on the tab. Whaler rec'd a 9" tab on this boat and I am no sure what sizes are availble from Lenco. I do not need the thrust one would need on a 21-22 footer. My second option is to mount the 9" tabs and install a trolling motor on a outboard bracket on the starbord.

Any experience or reccomendations out there? I would appreciate any input.

I have the Daunt 18. I believ the Daunt 18 and Ventura are teh same boat/hull.

I too am looking at trim tabs, particularly Lenco as I want the trolling capability. I could add a bow mount trolling motor but bow rail is problematic with deployment.

I contacted whaler. I was told Whaler uses lenco electric and bennett hydraulic tabs. Currently use bennetts on the 18.

I too have a swim ladder and am not certain how this will work out.

I asked Lenco for feedback as well.

I am happy to share information with you as I learn more and would appreciate same.
