I have not been out in the boat for a while, so on Saturday I decided to hook up the muffs and crank up the motor. Battery was dead, so I just pull started the motor. It took more pulls than I had hoped, about 9, but once it fired it was fine.

The telltale water stream was not putting out water. It seemed like a very little bit was dripping out, but not a stream like I am used to seeing. It worked the last time I was out on the lake. I felt the motor, and it was not hot at all, even after several minutes of running. The water from the hose was pretty cold. I had the impeller replaced last spring.

Does the motor have to reach a certain temperature before water starts coming out of the telltale? If not, where would you start looking for the problem? New impleller? Clogged hose? Other?

Run a wire up the tell tale hole or weedeater line. It is probably just clogged. Some engines also don't like running on muffs.

Used the weedeater line yesterday and that did the trick. I have added that as an item to keep on the boat.

Thanks, Kelly
