Hi guys! thanks for providing this forum. I I just bought a 68 Whaler, with original 25 h.p. evinrude. The motor runs fine, but I think it needs a "clutch dog?".(it pops out of gear at increased speeds). The bow pulpit is missing, as are the side rails, so I need them if anyone knows where to find them? I am looking for original decals, and any info. or original or copy owners manual. The hull is in great shape, as is the motor and trailer. The folks out here in Tennessee have never heard of "Boston Whalers", so I guess thats why I paid $350.00. Thanks for any info you can provide, by the way, what is one worth nowadays restored? Thanks again, Anthony Z.

I can only help with about half your qustion,

There are decals on ebay all the time. You can pick up a set real cheep.

In the hunt for bow/side rails and bow pulpit:

Again they show up on ebay and in the marketplace forum here. They are not cheep though.....chances are they'll run you more then you paid for the boat.

I'm by far no expert on prices,
I've seen hulls as old as yours that have been restored AND have new motors go for over six grand.

Hope this helps and good luck,
11
