Had thoughts of driving south to buy a Continental keel roller trailer for my 87' Montauk. Considered this after reading posts of how nice and inexpensive they are. Called them and was informed that they are wholesale only. What gives? Where did the $750 galvanized Montauk trailer quote come from? Seems to me that was the figure that Larry used on another recent post?

The galvanized Continental trailer for 16/17'
Whaler is model C-7, 1700# capacity, 13" wheels. Continental only sells through it's Dealers, so I would call them for dealers in Northern Florida. The dealer who quoted me was in Delray Beach, but that is in Southern FL. They must have some dealers in Jacksonville, etc. I would shop several of the dealers for best price.

There are three dealers in the Jacksonville area. You can call Continental's 800 number in Miami and they will supply the names and phone numbers. I recently called a couple of them in Jacksonville regarding a trailer for a 20' outrage. (The prices did vary noticably). The best price quoted was about $1700 for a tandom galvanized model with 10" poly rollers and no brakes. Larry should get at least a Christmas card from those guys. He had mentioned them when I had asked about rebuilding an old trailer several weeks ago. Good luck.
