I had a bad NGK spark plug cap on my 1998 Suzuki DT140. Finding a replacement has been tough. Brown's Point Marina quoted me $20 for one cap!!! It is a yellow NGK plug cap that screws onto the plug wire. when I measure the resistance in the cap it is around 9.7 OHMS. I found a similar cap with only 5 OHMs resistor. Will I be making a mistake if I use a plug cap with a different size resistor in it? My understanding was that the resistor in the cap was just for electronic noise suppression. If I have three of one type cap, and one cap of another type, will the electrical system be damaged? Does anyone know a source for this cap?

I meant to say 9.7 Kilo-Ohms and 5 Kilo-Ohms.
