I have a 40HP Yamaha on my 13'9" Dauntless and I would like to get a new stainless steel prop for skiing. Our heaviest skier is about 160 pounds. I know there is a tradeoff between maximum speed and lift-out power for deep water starts, but I'd be interested in suggestions for prop diameter/pitch sizes. Anyone have any experience in this area??

If your going to basicly use it for sking, i'd look into a 12-1/4x15.......but if you want to travel & not pull skiers, i'd go with a 10.50 to 11.50 diameter x 17p which could be a little to much, if so see if you can locate an 10.1/2 11.1/2 dia x 16p.
In most cases, Merc props fit Yamaha engines so you have a wide selection to choose from.
