Bought a used and abused little 3.5 Nissan kicker at a yacht club a month ago for $50. Took it apart and saw it had gotten water inside. Took apart the powerhead, inventoried what I need and cleaned up the rest. Got the parts on monday, assembled tuesday, fired up on wednesday. Slept great wednesday night. Total cost: $170. Runs fine.

Congratulations Salmon Tub! Thats a great feeling when you bring one back from the dead. Now if your feeling really ambitious I have a 115 V-4 crossflow powerhead with a bad piston I can sell ya cheap ;-). Best of luck this year with the revived kicker.

I bet the engine was a 2-stoke.

Am I correct?

Salmon Tub,

My memory is a bit tricky today:

Is it you that has an 11 that once served as a mailbox drying out in your garage?

It would be quite a combination...

No, it is not me, but I do have a little 12' Sea Nymph that I camo'ed out for next duck season. This will complement it perfectly. We hand launch that boat and being that this engine wieghs in at 28 lbs., should have little effect. The only thing is, the manuf. specs say it will run about 45 min. at WOT on a full tank (internal) of gas. I will test it this summer to get some results.

The Sea Nymph has a nice, light little hull. Thought about using it for your tender for your big boat?
