Can someone help me on the correct propeller selection. I have a new 60 hp 4-stroke 240 lbs Mercury, Montauk 950 lb.s, 2 batteries and 15 gallons of gas, I'm 180 lbs and manytimes have another adult with me. I havelooked at much of the information on this site and it looks like the maximum speed should be about 37 mph. It seems to me it would be a 13 to 15 pitch prop but what diameter? The propeller selection tables I've seen here and elsewhere don't seem to indicate diameter. This is the first time I've tried to size and select a prop. Any comments on 4-blade v.s. 3-blade?
Thanks for any help.
