cyclops	posted 05-26-2003 05:20 PM ET (US)         I have a 1967 Eastport with a 1978 Johnson 70hp on the back. The motor has power tilt only. The problem I discovered last week while on vacation is when the boat is on the trailer or at idle in the water the power tilt works fine but when the boat is under power at all the tilt won't lift the motor. Also if the motor isn't down all the way and you take off it won't stay there. It will slide down all the way. The fluid level checked OK and I've not seen any signs of leaks at all. Any suggestions?
rwill1	posted 05-26-2003 06:18 PM ET (US)             Same setup as my 1970 Nauset with 1970 Johnson 85. I can putt along at 5mph and the tilt will hold. Any faster, and she begins to creep down.
